Marissa Webb launched her eponymous label in 2013; she was born in Korea and grown up in United States. From very early childhood, she was interested in sketching, designing, sewing and styling and she had an intimate and creative relationship with fashion.

She studied designing from the Fashion Institute of Technology and flourished at J.Crew where she remained for over a decade serving in various design roles including Head of Womenswear and Accessories Design.

Marissa Webb has also served as the Global Creative Director and Executive Vice President of Design at Banana Republic. She presented her first collection at the spring 2013 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in the New York, delivering feminine pieces and exemplified her individual style.

Marissa Webb launched her own label of easily wearable everyday pieces. Here we are going to share with you her latest resort collection 2018, the collection was a well-rounded offering with wearable, comfy and lovely little dresses and tops to fly around the world with.

She used the soft cotton fabric to design this resort collection, what could more resort, Marissa Webb said of her inspiration at a private walk-through, “I needed a holiday and I had resort in my mind, I want to go to Tulum, it is very low-key and no fuss. I thought that was perfect.”

The designer embraced flounce on backless tops, floral print dresses with tiered skirts, she created what she called a ‘superhero girl suit’ with metallic brushed leather jacket and matching pants.

As usual Marissa Webb incorporated nicely tailored jackets and trousers into the resort wear heavy lineup, some of the dresses of this collection felt a little more street and out of context especially khaki and olive green color dresses.

All ready to wear outfits were looking chic and classy including checked cotton shirtdresses and shirts beautified with origami ruffles around the neckline and waist and tucked into cropped, high-waisted leather trousers or baggy leather shorts.

The designer said about this collection, I think it was more about the structure of cotton, feeling like an easy fabric and at the same time being able to do so much with it. She introduced an urban element via deconstructed trenches in cotton canvas and off-shoulder tops in her favorite army green.

This outfit is looking very nice, military green trousers is teamed with floral top nicely tailored in off the shoulder elastic neckline. This metallic silver dress is perfect to wear for fun loving superhero type girls, floral print top is tucked into metallic leather pants and top it off by pairing a matching leather jacket.
